Indonesian Cocoa Day falls on September 16th, like 2020 HKI in 2021 is still in the atmosphere of the Covid-19 pandemic, so it cannot freely carry out activities and activities.
It is known that efforts to increase national cocoa production must continue to be carried out by all stakeholders, because cocoa land is still quite large, technology to increase productivity is ready to be used, cocoa prices are stable, supporting facilities and regulations are available.
Indonesia’s main weakness in efforts to increase national cocoa production is the declining enthusiasm of some agribusiness actors. The weakening of this spirit was exacerbated by the Covid-19 outbreak that hit the whole world, thus affecting the performance of Indonesia’s cocoa agribusiness.
To improve the performance of Indonesian cocoa, maximum efforts are needed, starting with pumping back the enthusiasm of cocoa business actors ranging from farmers, traders, industry, government, assistants and all other community groups.
In accordance with the conditions and background as above, the 2021 Indonesian Cocoa Day commemoration activities will be filled with:
- Giving awards to Indonesian cocoa fighters.
- Disseminating the success story experiences of cocoa and chocolate agribusiness actors from downstream to upstream.
- Organizing Covid-19 vaccination in cocoa producing centers.
The objectives of these activities are:
- To increase the spirit and fighting power of cocoa agribusiness players so that national cocoa production can meet the needs of the domestic industry.
- Disseminate information about success stories of cocoa agribusiness players from upstream to downstream.
- To help the government accelerate the achievement of “held immunity” against Covid-19, especially in the cocoa agribusiness environment.
- The 2021 Indonesian Cocoa Day commemoration peak event will be held on September 16th, 2021
