On June 9-13th, 2014 the Chairman of the Indonesian Cocoa Board together with other members of the Indonesian delegation attended the World Cocoa Conference 2014 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The Indonesian delegation consisted of representatives from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Industry, the Indonesian Embassy in The Hague, the Indonesian Embassy in Brussels, several NGOs, several companies, the Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Center, and the Indonesian Cocoa Board. The organizers have requested two Indonesian speakers in three sessions, namely:
- Ms. Musdhalifah Machmud, Assistant Deputy for Plantations and Horticulture, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, with the paper title Implementation of the Global Cocoa Agenda: Indonesia Cocoa Development
- Dr. Soetanto Abdoellah, Chairman of the Indonesian Cocoa Board, as well as the Board of Experts of the Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Center, with the title of the paper Improving Farmers’ Livelihoods by Mainstreaming Sustainable Cocoa
- Dr. Soetanto Abdoellah, Chairman of the Indonesian Cocoa Board, as well as the Board of Experts of the Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Center, with the paper titled Sustainable Consumption, Promoting Consumption in Emerging Markets and Origin Countries
